Hansen Hobbies Onboard Mechanical Relay - Product Image

Hansen Hobbies Onboard Mechanical Relay

This device was designed to pair up with our Nano Electronic Receiver Switch. The mechanical relay gives you completely isolated switching of any circuit, and you can even use 120VAC power. Just apply power (5V) to the coil pins to make the relay switch. You could use this relay to control pretty much anything with your radio; a motor, a glow plug, a toaster (or maybe xmas lights?). This would also be perfect as a kill switch for an engine ignition and you won't have to worry about the ignition circuit causing interference because the circuits will be completely isolated.

Dimension Engineering PicoSwitch RC Relay - Product Image

Dimension Engineering PicoSwitch RC Relay

PicoSwitch is a relay switch that you toggle via hobby radio control gear. You can use PicoSwitch to quickly and easily control anything from a digital camera shutter to an electric squirt gun to home lighting and more. You can activate applications with voltage levels as high as 125VAC without having to know anything about microcontroller logic levels or transistors because the relay offers full electrical isolation from your receiver electronics. PicoSwitch plugs into a standard hobby radio control receiver as easily as a servo does. You connect the load that you want to toggle using PicoSwitch's wear resistant screw terminals. Depending on the channel you use, you will then be able to control the relay by moving your radio's control stick up or down, left or right, or another method you desire. Picoswitch has a status LED on the bottom. The LED will light up when the relay switch is on, and vice versa. It will also tell you if your radio link is too weak by flashing repeatedly. The relay is a single pole single throw switch. Its typical lifetime is 100,000 to 1,000,000 switching cycles, depending on how heavy a load you are using. The relay is normally open when unpowered. PicoSwitch does not supply power at the screw terminals. PicoSwitch should not be used to switch inductive loads like motors or solenoids without an antiparallel diode. Need more power? Try BattleSwitch. Specifications: Max relay voltage: 60VDC, 125VAC Max relay current: 1A @ 24VDC, 0.5A @ 125VAC (60W lightbulb) Relay resistance: 100 m? max 3.5V to 5.5V operating voltage (on servo pigtail) 30mA typical draw from receiver Note: PicoSwitch has a maximum voltage rating of 125VAC, meaking it unsuitable for toggling 220VAC applications. Diagrams: PicoSwitch example diagram.jpg Dimensions: 0.75" x 0.62" x 0.62" 20mm x 16mm x 16mm 12 inch servo pigtail Applications: Control of lighting systems on RC planes, boats, cars. Hansen Hobbies PERS V2- Pico Electronic Receiver & Accessory Switch - Product Image

Hansen Hobbies PERS V2- Pico Electronic Receiver & Accessory Switch

The PERS is a very tiny receiver-actuated on/off switch. It plugs into one of your receiver channels and lets you turn a device on/off using a stick, switch, or knob on your transmitter. The PERS performs the operation equivalent to a servo moving a mechanical switch back and forth, but in a much smaller package, and with no moving parts! The PERS will operate with any receiver running on 2-6V and can switch on/off pretty much any device up to 3A of current. The PERS is perfect for lights, glow plug drivers, motors, smoke pumps, rocket igniters, solenoids, relays, and whatever else you can think up. Wired correctly, it could be used to trigger cameras or other electronic devices. The PERS weighs just 0.3g, not including the 6" output wires (if left full-length these wires weigh another 0.3g).

If you don't mind doing a bit of soldering, the PERS can be easily reversed and assigned a fail-safe setting. The PERS was designed to use the power from your receiver battery, but it can also be configured to use a separate battery, up to 20V. Take a look at the PERS instructions (link below) for reverse/fail-safe settings and wiring diagrams.

The PERS is available with 4 different types of servo connectors to accommodate the various micro receivers available today. Scroll down to view the different options and cart buttons. Packing Note: PERS's ordered in 1pc quantities will come in individual packages. 3 and 10pcs quantities may be supplied in one package with one set of instructions.

Dimension Engineering PicoSwitch RC Relay - Product Image

Dimension Engineering PicoSwitch RC Relay

LVBoost is a boost converter that can take voltages as low as 0.5V and convert them into higher, more useful voltages like 3.3V or 5V. It has an exceptionally low quiescent draw - typically under .4mA. these features make LVBoost a great choice for powering projects from solar or other renewable energy sources.

From a 3V input, 500mA at 5V out is easily achievable, allowing you to charge nearly any portable device that meets the USB spec.

The output voltage is set with a small screw potentiometer on the side of the LVBoost.

Notes from Dave, this is a neat device. Technically, you could use this with a single lipo cell and drive an RX at 5V. Might be a cool solution for a DLG. It has an input limit of 1.5 amps. In order to buck-up or up-convert the voltage, current will be multiplied by the same factor as the voltage (rougly speaking). So, if you want 5v out but start with a 1.2v Nicad as the source, then 1.5 amp / (5v out / 1.2v in) = max output of 360mah would be possible. Using the same formula, from a single Lipo (operates from 3v to 4.2v when full) if we figure the input voltage at 3.7 it would be 1.5 amp / (5v out / 3.7v input) = 1.11 amps out. So, it stands to reason you could fly a DLG off a 130 or 160mah single lipo used in bind and fly models.

2.2 to 5V adjustable output voltage range
.5V to 5V input voltage range
1.5A max input current
